The effectiveness of vaccination programs has been an enormous help to society throughout history, and over the years their significant impact on public health and rural communities in the Cuenca region has been evident. This study aims to verify and analyze the level of impact and efficiency of these programs in the city of Cuenca. To this end, a quantitative methodology was applied, based on a structured survey of diseases, pathogen diversity, and vaccine efficacy. The results allow us to verify and corroborate the effectiveness of vaccines and identify what is needed for their full development. Furthermore, the research encourages reflection on the importance of understanding these programs and the magnitude of their benefits, and how to contribute to their development for the most vulnerable communities.
